The Song of Pond Place is God’s Song of Creation. We all share the harmonies and the melodies because the flow is from the Creator to His Creation. It is the sweet sound of God-Love. He is singing about Himself to us. He is teaching us. He is revealing His person to us.
As the journal developed over the years the theme of the Song grew. Only towards the last Days did I realize that the Song wove the messages together. That God was revealing something quite special to me. I understood that my personal world contains the Song. That He is singing out to all of us His Love. I am only to open my ears for my spirit to receive. Choices.
Scripture offers some clues about the Song coming to us through Creation. There are hundreds of mentions about us creating and singing music to Him. As we are His Creation, we create music about Him and for Him. We are called to worship and praise. We give voice to the reality of Him and have from the beginning and will for eternity.1
Creation was created by God in response to His desire for expression and connection. He wanted Creation. He wanted us. He wanted to have us to give His Love to. And Creation recognizes their Creator. Everything that there is knows and responds to the presence of the Creator. The stars sing. The heavens sing. The rocks cry out. The seas roar. The fields exalt. Trees sing for joy. Floods clap their hands. Hills sing for joy. And angels praise Him. Sun, moon, and stars praise Him. Sea-monsters praise Him. Fire, hail, snow, and vapor praise Him. Mountains and hills praise Him. Fruitful trees and cedars praise Him. Beasts and all the cattle praise Him. Creeping things and flying birds praise Him. We are even to ask the beasts, birds, and fish about Him. The heavens are to be glad and the earth to rejoice.2
Hearing the melodies coming to us from Creation is an opportunity worth seeking. What are we missing? This is the challenge. Oh, for ears to hear and eyes to see!
All of Creation was harmed by the Fall. As we experience extreme weather, volcano’s erupting, earthquakes shaking and tsunamis washing across the land, these events seem to be the evidence of this harm. Creation groans3 as it awaits deliverance. At Christ’s death Creation reacted. The Song ceased until He rose!!!
